Dr. Ren-Jye Dzeng is currently a professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), Taiwan. He earned his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering (Construction Engineering and Management) from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, U.S.A. in 1989 and 1995 respectively. For the past two decades, he has actively devoted himself in teaching construction engineering and management at the department, and conducted interdisciplinary learning and research as well as several administration services, such as serving as the Vice President of General Affairs for NYCU, and also served as the chairman for the department in recent years. Drawing upon more than 10 years of experience leading the Eco-City Center (Eco-City: Smart Living Technologies Integration Center) at NCTU as the CEO, his research interest shifted from conventional construction management towards interdisciplinary development, including for example, innovative applications of AI, IoT, BIM, brain EEG, vision-based and non-vision-based human action recognition to construction safety and simulation. He also published more than 50 research papers in international journals.

Dr. Xing Zheng Wu is currently working as an associate professor in the civil engineering department of Hebei University in Baoding, China. His research interests focus on stability analysis of geostructures, numerical modelling of soil structure interaction, coastal cliff-beach erosion and hydraulic structures, flood risk mitigation measures, uncertainty quantification and reliability analysis in geotechnical and coastal engineering. Dr. Wu has published more than 20 journal papers by the first author in international journals, who is the Editor-in-Chief of the Insight - Civil Engineering. He has served as an active reviewer for more than 30 international journals and he is a member of the editorial board of more than 10 journals.

Noelia Alchapar is Dr. in Renewable Energies and Architect. She works as a researcher at the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET). Her field of research focuses on the energy efficiency of building materials present in building envelopes as a sensitive tool for sustainable and resilient urban planning. The main objective is to generate mitigation and adaptation strategies to global warming. Since its inception in the scientific system (2010), the applicant has participated in 24 projects and research grants of national and international scope. She has published 33 articles in scientific journals and book chapters indexed internationally. She has presented and discussed the results of her research in 26 scientific congresses and events. In addition, he has prepared 14 technical reports on characterization of traditional materials and innovative technologies. These reports have been requested by academia, local government agencies and the materials industry. Within this framework, the researcher has a relevant national presence in the area of energy efficiency of materials with a wide diversification and productivity, providing consulting and technological services, oriented to the productive sector, construction industry and public agencies. In addition, she carries out undergraduate and graduate teaching activities. The contributions in this field can be arranged in three stages according to the scale of analysis: object scale: opto-thermal characterization of materials; micro and meso scale: estimation of the energetic and environmental implications of the materials in the urban envelope; comprehensive scale: construction of numerical models using UBEM tools to establish the best options to reduce energy consumption in cities.

Dr. Lukas Beladi Sihombing is a distinguished civil engineer and academic, specializing in Public-Private Partnership (PPP) infrastructure projects, project management, and risk management. With over three decades of experience, Dr. Sihombing has significantly contributed to the development of major infrastructure projects across Indonesia, including toll roads, water resource management, and transportation systems. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor at Universitas Pembangunan Jaya and as a non-permanent lecturer at the University of Indonesia and Universitas Pelita Harapan, where he imparts his extensive knowledge in construction management, project financing, and system dynamics. Dr. Sihombing has published extensively in leading journals, including his recent paper entitled “Analyzing Contingency Cost Risks in a Pipeline EPC Project Using a Monte Carlo Simulation,” which explores advanced risk assessment methodologies in engineering projects. He has presented his work at global conferences and is actively involved in professional organizations, holding key roles such as Director of Professional Certification at the Indonesian Society of Project Management Professionals and Head of the Certification Body of IPMA Indonesia. His innovative research has earned him international recognition, including awards for sustainability management and project finance.

Dr. Gordon Huang is a Professor at the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, University of Regina, and an esteemed environmental engineer with a Ph.D. from McMaster University. He holds honorary doctorates and is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering and the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering. Dr. Huang has held prestigious roles, including President of the International Society for Environmental Information Sciences and Canada Research Chair Tier 1. His research focuses on planning energy and environmental systems, climate modeling, and hydrological simulation. As Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Environmental Informatics, he has contributed to over 1,300 peer-reviewed journal papers, with an H-index of 85 on Web of Science. He has supervised over 100 graduate students, many of whom now hold academic and research leadership positions globally. Dr. Huang has been recognized among the top 2% of most-cited scientists in environmental engineering worldwide.

Ancuța Rotaru is a Professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Building Services, „Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iaşi, Romania. Their academic focus includes undergraduate and master's teaching on engineering geology, foundations, and geotechnical issues. A PhD coordinator, they lead research on landslides, sustainable construction rehabilitation, foundations, and geo-hazards, managing several national and international grants. As an editor and reviewer for international journals, the user contributes extensively to academic publishing. They also organize international conferences and workshops on sustainable rehabilitation and geotechnical challenges, while coordinating Erasmus+ programs with global institutions.
